hunter pet wont go away

Issue: Pet

I managed to tame a shardtooth bear. The bear is now bugged. it says i don't have a pet - No hunger, no "pet" tab under Character nor a pet tab under spellbook. I can't switch the pet out since it says i "already have a summoned" pet but at the same time i dont have a pet. right clicking the pet portrait only option is to dismiss it. tried without addons and on another computer to no help.
