Greetings. One of my fellow guild members that I PvP quite a bit with is a Hunter. He was reported for abusing some sort of Pet invalid bug. The GM told him that he "Should" have known about it" And always keep track on the bug tracker. Instead of a simple warning, or how to avoid reproducing the bug. The GM gave him a seven day suspension. I view that highly harsh, especially to future 60 Hunters. That spend a week of PvP, then get the same punishment. When they don't even know it's even happening. The innocent should not be targeted and get punished in the cross-fire of the one's that truly abuse such things.
The main point of the post, besides the ranting. Was to ask if anyone knows the case number of the "Hunter Invalid Target Pet Bug" Because. I've searched high and low. Thusly cannot find such report.
I've only found a Warlock bug with a Voidwalker. But, that's it. Nothing in the Hunter section, let alone how to avoid such thing.
I've been searching the forums for a real answer. This OP posted and requested an answer. The GM replied without even a true reply to his question. Just to report it. https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic. ... nvalid+pet
Even this post is about the same. https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic. ... nvalid+pet
The more I read these posts. I keep seeing that the GMs don't even care about if the person knows or not. Either fix this, or stop harassing Hunters for a bug that you should be fixing. Also to note. I've seen a lot of Horde Hunters with pets doing the same invalid situation. Especially the one's that just join a BG. I've learned to avoid it and move on. There was one that just joined a BG and didn't leave the first spawn in AB housing. He was probably AFK using Lazypig instant join. But, his pet was invalid, and we had to just kill him. The same thing happened after he resurrected in the graveyard. Still AFK and the pet was doing it all over again.
