Item Stats Issue

So yesterday while I was playing with some friends my lad showed me this item called the Dreamweave gloves, and insisted on making me a pair. I told him no because I thought the stats would be bad for my class (because it said it had plus frost damage spell and effects and I'm a Warlock) and then he asked me if I was seeing things right because the actual item apparently gave spell effect bonus to all damage and healing spells.

So I looked it up and found the actual item, and he was right.

But for some reason on my client it's showing up like this.

It does this for several items, mostly ones that have spell effect increases.

I used my friend's account on the same client to view the item, but the problem was still occurring. So I uninstalled and found a different client to install and it's still not working. I've done this twice now, and they both had the same problem.

I don't know what to do, any help or explanation would be very appreciated, thank you for reading.

Try deleting the WDB folder (your cache) in your WoW directory.

I have the pattern on PvE realm. It shows +10 frost, not the +18 effects and healing shown on webpage. It's possible that these gloves were buffed in some later patch.

Okay this is getting weird, my friend can actually see +10 frost damage increase too, but my other two friends still see +18 spell damage.

What's going on?

I betcha anything they have loot addons that are showing them stats based on what patch the addon thinks they are in.

They do not.

only other option is they are both playing both realms- pvp and pve, or they transferred thier wow folder from a different server. They have different databases than those seeing the +10 frost damage.

are you on pvp or pve server?
did u clear the "second wdb folder" in your appdata folder?

Have your friends delete their WDB folders as well. That should fix the issue.
