Currently playing completely un-modded and after I crafted a couple of sets golden skeleton keys I noticed that they never showed up in either my keyring or inventory. It did give the skill up however. Logging out and logging back in didn't help either. Didn't think to take a screenshot at the time, but if needed I have the materials still to do it again and can take one.
