Question about security and anti-cheat

I cant but help notice the fact that banning are frequent and with collateral aswell. How does it work if someone plays on IT café or major LAN? IF one gets banned does everyone under same IP also get banned?

As far as I know Nostalrius does not automaticallt ban accounts for playing on a certain IP. They could however block an IP/VPN that is often used for goldspam etc (read more here https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=39952).
