Missing gold

Hello.

First I want to apologize as English is not my mother tongue.
Second, I am new to WoW. I never played on official server and I basically had no knowledge of this game before I started about a month ago. I turned 40 today and was hyped about getting a mount. I have no knowledge of the scams that might be well known by players.

I connected on my account a few minutes ago and I was buying some meat at the AH then some spices from an NPC. I was surprised when I saw i couldn't afford some that cost a few copper pieces.
I saw that I had only 10 copper left instead of around 75 gold a few hours earlier.

I just asked some people that told me I had no chance to get it back.
However, I want to understand what happened.

I have NEVER been in any contact with someone that sold gold or account or anything.
I use different passwords for every account.

Some people say I may have got scammed by a message technique or by buying some extra expensive AH item without being aware of it.


HOWEVER, I noticed I had a rhum item in my bag I didn't have before and my pants were gone. I supposed this is probably someone that logged on my account and made a joke or anything...

Is there any way to KNOW what happened ? Even though I presume I won't get anything back.
I would really appreciate so I can move on. I'm not a hardcore WoW player, I just wanted to have some fun here and I feel disillusioned as I don't have a reroll or any other kind of wealth in here.
