"Unable to connect" after registering

Created an account yesterday maybe 16 hours ago, checked my email including my spam folder and haven't recieved anything. I also tried creating a second account on the same email domain, and a third account on a different email domain and none of them have received verification emails.

verification emails are no longer sent to users who register a playing account.
after registering you should be able to play!

Hmm, whenever I try to login I always get "Unable to connect", I assumed not being verified was the reason since the registration form still states you need to verify when you mouseover the email field (might want to change that).

I've seen a lot of discussion about disconnects on login, but the only discussion I've seen on "unable to connect" is basically all "help it doesn't work" and no helpful suggestions for fixing it. My realmlist file is empty except for the following:

I've also tried the main login subdomain, I have no addons installed, typically don't have to forward ports, whitelist in firewall, etc, don't have a modified client (used the Nostalrius installer and have changed nothing other than realmlist.wtf). Not sure what else there is to check.

No clue if verification mails should be or shouldnt be sent but the created accounts just dont work. Its proven. A friend of mine created 3 acc during this week, none of them working. Then we made a test and he tried to login with my working account. He made it without any problem. So its clear that atm the created accounts arent verified or ready to be used....

Getting the same issue, just made an account and I keep getting "unable to connect" when trying to get in game.
