wrong server selected, keeps dcing on login

So as many others have aswell i selected the wrong server to log in and now i keep getting dced when trying to log in...

Changing my realmlist doesnt work, i even did a full reinstall, but the server on the login screen is still dev server blabla...

Are there any other means of selecting the right server again? If so, share !

If you go into your WTF folder and open the Config file you can edit the realm this way. Look until you see something like SET realmName "Test Realm IsVV2". Then just edit what is in quotations to Nostalrius Begins.

Thx for the reply! But i already tried that :-/. The server name That was on the login screen never even showed up in my config file... its really weird tbh..

Deleting the config.wtf file should fix it, the game will create a new one on next launch

mhm that's what I thought aswell..

Unfortunately on my loginscreen the server that is selected remains the same (in this case the dev server).

I am not given the option to select a new server when I start up the client. It's really weird, cuz it should be something that's fixable via deleting certain files/folders.

I guess what this means is that there is a folder or file floating around somewhere that saves certain credentials upon deleting my entire game. And in this case remembering what server I selected

Hmmm I just tried to delete/rename the config file, it resets everything, including the intro cinematic

Did you try to press on "ESC" just after validating your password?

And in realmlist.wtf, do you have

set realmlist login2.nostalrius.org

or

Code: Select all

set realmlist login.nostalrius.org

Try to change with the other one

Thx for the help everyone, I hadn't actually tried to click cancel or escape while authenticating.

But I was able to fix it by just manually downloading a 1.12 client (so without the installer that is provided). So in this way all my settings were reset and I was able to select my server!

I downloaded the vanillagaming_1 torrent that you can find on the web or on the forum here!
