Request for Ban Appeal

Dear Staff of Nostalrius,
First I would like to start by saying I am glad I had found this server, I am enjoying it very much and already have a lot of time invested into it. However, here is my situation: I went AFK while sitting in Orgrimmar and my son, who plays retail WoW, told me that he got on the computer to play and he was checking the server out and running around Org and posted into trade chat that he wanted to trade his character on retail for a character on Nostalrius since he was interested in playing. I know that the rules only state that you cannot sell a character or gold on Nostalrius for real money but that is not what happened at all, he wasn't and did not sell anything. Either way no transaction was made or was going to be made. But my account was still permanently banned with no warning. My immediate reaction was very mad and I upset him and told him that i would try to fix it and it would be okay so that I would not hurt his feelings. I am just wondering what other player's thoughts are about this situation and if this was a fair punishment for one post in trade chat saying "WTT Retail character for character on Nostalrius." Which technically is not against the rules, and there was no trade that occurred because of the ban without getting a chance to explain. He had only posted into trade and no action occured. The rules do not state that my account should have received a permanent ban for only typing that into trade, and in my opinion, should still be debatable even if the account trade did happen since it's not clearly defined in the rules of permanent bans.

The rules state:

F - Account closure / permanent ban : Most serious sanction. Permanent ban are rare but definitive.

Examples :
Possession of an item obtained with illegal methods
Advertising for other private servers,
Creation of another account to bypass a sanction applied on the first one,
Publishing a software, methods or articles on cheating which can be applied on the server,
Revealing the identity of a Nostalrius Begins staff member,
Selling an account or gold for real money,
Account hacking.
Organized killing for farming rank and/or honor,
Multi-account which strikes a blow to players,
Using bots.
Hacking.

I am a very casual leveler and it has taken me a lot of effort and time to get to the point that I am at and I would not be any trouble in the future. I do not even know how to "bot" or "hack". I am simply here for the enjoyment of the game and server. Thank you for the time to read about my situation and I just hope that I will be able to play my character again because I don't know if I would be able to start everything over again.

I believe Kraft have already replied to your former ban appeal. Creating another appeal doesn't do much for your sake. Ban is still permanent.

Intent to sell is the same thing,
you still would get arrested for attempted murder wouldn't you?,
Even if the job didn't get done.
Just level a char yourself don't be lazy cause cutting corners gets you here or gets your account stolen.

Well the thing is that he wasn't trying to sell anything for real money. I wasn't being lazy, I was enjoying leveling my character as I said. The rule they said I broke was "Selling an account or gold FOR real money." Which was not broken, nor attempted.
If I had posted into trade saying that I wanted to sell gold on Nostalrius Begins sever for real money, even if I hadn't yet but was trying to, then I could understand receiving a permanent ban because that is against the rules, yes.
Or if I had posted into trade chat saying that I wanted to sell my Nostalrius account for real money and someone paid for it, then I should also receive a permanent ban because that is against the rule also.

But I did not even attempt to do either of those things, I am just hoping you will reconsider my permanent ban into a final warning and I will be able to continue leveling my character. I am leveling with friends right now and they are waiting on me so we can continue leveling and they don't get too far ahead of me. I can promise you will never have any problems or reports with me for as long as I play on Nostalrius Begins. If I am wrong about this then please permanently ban me as I deserve.

i feel ya dude but i saw what you were posting, dont try to play innocent, just own up to what you did and start over. pulling out all this loophole bs isnt going to save you, you know you made up that story, and even if you didn't dont be mad here be mad at your son for not knowing that SELLING/TRADING ACCOUNTS OF ANY KIND IS NOT OK IN GLOBAL CHAT, ask him wtf he was thinking, smack him, send him to his room, make him level your new char.
