[OK] Really annoying lag

Hello,
I encountered a really annoying issue.
When I am playing, every few minutes there is some kind of lag.
My screen do not freeze and the characters are still moving.
Its hard to describe.
The majority of times it happens in a combat. I use my spell, and nothing is happening.
The Mobs also stop attacking.
Then, after a few seconds, my character uses the spell I clicked a few seconds ago and everything is back to normal.
It also happens alot when I click on NPCs or when I try to loot a Mob.
I click on the NPC or Mob, and nothing is happening.
Then after a few second the dialogue box or the loot table pops up.
It appears like the game has some trouble to react from time to time.

Dont get me wrong, this is a great server and I still have fun playing, but nonetheless this is really annoying.

I also got another question.
My settings are not saved.
I like to play in windowed mode, but everytime i start the game its fullscreen again. ( this is just an example, many other settings are also not saved )
Does anyone knows a solution ?

Change your graphics settings and log out, don't Alt-F4 or just close the window. Graphics settings, macros, key binds, etc won't stick if you crash the client, you must log out.

As for the lag, get used to it, not going to change. Apparently they just upgraded the hardware and did some software enhancements but it hasn't done a single thing.

Thanks for you answer, I did everything you mentioned, but it still dont work.
( I changed settings, log out on my character and then clicked quit game on the log in screen )
Also, everytime I start the game there are the cinematics and I have to decide on which server I want to play ( there is the whole suggest realm thing with language and PvP/PvE, I think you know what I am talking about )

Hi AnthonyDavis23,

You may need to run WoW as an Admin (Right Click WoW.exe > Run as Administrator) for the settings to save.

Does your ping spike when you're lagging?

Do you have more than one copy of WoW installed? That's weird you get the cinematics every time you log in. Are you playing on multiple servers? If so every time you swap the realmlist to a different server this will happen.

Ok I started my WoW as admin, it started again in fullscreen and with all the cinematics.
Then I changed my settings to windowed mode again, logged out on my character and got back to the login screen again.
Then I logged in my character again, played a few minutes and then clicked on exit the game.
When my window closed, I started WoW again as an admin.
And it worked !!! No fullscreen, no cinematics, no pick a server.
I wrote it so detailed so if anyone with the same problem can do the same step by step.
