Unplayable Latency

is there any news on this subject, i have been encountering this issue recently and today for the last 8 or so hours ive been stuck at around 5k ping. vpn doesnt seem to be the answer, im getting perfectly fine connection to everything besides nost.

I'm having the same issue, but today, rather than Friday (Easter Sunday in Aus).

Have to log out of the game every few minutes because I've been getting up to 6k ping for the last couple of hours, making it unplayable. As in your situation, my connection is fine with everything else.

On a good day in-game, I get around 300 ping, which - believe it or not - is quite playable (perhaps because I've never known any better).

Haha, true. 300 MS ping is awful but only because I've gotten used to the 15-30 MS ping I normally have. Resetting the router has always helped me.

Usualy helpd me too for about 5min.....

Seems like this is not even being looked into sadly :/ Atleast not getting any updates here.

I'm also experiencing this issue, I play from Australia and it only started happening recently during the same time frames. It appears to be just nost, if i ping login.nostalrius.org i get no response whereas pinging anywhere else (even a french ip) is fine so i can only assume problem is on nos end. Using a VPN also fixed the problem however I play private servers to avoid paying subscriptions. At least a post explaining what is going on would be appreciated if it's deliberately being throttled.

I am playing from Ireland. I too at times are getting something very similar to this.
I'll be playing away with 15-30ms and all is great then suddenly my entire connection seems to go crazy up to 1k ms.
I initially thought it was the connection so reset/refreshed and done everything i could find and do, only helped for 5 mins.
So i said screw it, came out of game and went into Steam and found the servers i normally play another game on were showing 20ms responses so i went back into the game and the same servers went up to 900+ and went back to normal again after closing the wow game.
Is it possible that there is some background transfer or restriction as after going back into the game again an hour later i played half the night with zero issues. I dont have this problem with ANY other game i got (over 80 installed) so if anyone can help isolate the problem or help i'd seriously love you long time as i'm itching to get my char to 60 and play oldschool mage once again which i thought i'd never get to do again lol
