"Disconnected from the server"

Hello everybody, i have a problem who told me "Disconnected from the server" when i try to login. I've Download the VanillaGaming Download, but when i change realmlist for Nostalrius i can't login, pls, can you help me ?
Ps : The VanillaGaming Download is TO in 1.12.1

Hey ulyssepowa05,

It sounds like you're connecting to a test realm. You'll see the realm name at the bottom right of the login screen. If this is true than log in and hit the Enter key quickly as soon as you see Success then change the Realm to Nostalrius Begins.

I don't have any Realm name at the bottom right :s .. I don't understand why i can't connect. "Disconnected from the server" is an instant message. When i press Enter, it appears instantly

I've the same problem. I've already read this thread : ''SOLUTIONS FOR CONNECT PROBLEMS, READ BEFORE YOU POST.'', but there is not solution in this... Help us...

If you're not using the Nostalrius Installer than try it first. It's best to not install it in Program Files. Something like C:\World of Warcraft Classic\ is better.

I had the same problem. First time when I connected, I got the window that asks me to choose a realm. I pushed the "Suggest Realm", of course, expecting the server to chose the best realm for me.
Then I was assigned to "Test Realm - IsVV2". I pushed the "Accept" button, of course.
And then I got disconnected, with the error "Disconnected from server".

After that, each time I tried to connect, I got directly the "Disconnected from server" error.

After a few hours I tried again, and again I could select the realm, but again I pushed "Accept" when I was suggested the test realm.

The solution is, as Snow240 said, to hit the Enter key again, quickly after pressing Enter to login. Then you get the "Realm Selection" window and you can choose "Nostalrius Begins" realm.

Or, maybe better, edit the file WTF\config.wtf and delete the following line

SET realmName "Test Realm - IsVV2"

After that, connect again and now, when you get the suggest realm window, push the "Suggest Realm" button, and when the server will suggest the test realm, instead of pushing "Accept", push the "View Realm List" button. You will get the list of realms and you can safely choose the "Nostalrius Begins" realm.

And indeed, the realm name is written at the bottom right of the login screen, under the "Terms of Use" button.


However, I think it's highly un-welcoming to suggest to the new users a test realm and then to disconnect them.
Instead, the server should suggest the "Nostalrius Begins" realm by default.
The Nostalrius team invested a lot of effort and time into this server, this issue can be solved in minutes and would make the server much more friendly with the newcomers who are very important in order to make the server a success.
