Hey guys

Just wondering if anyone has encountered any problems playing on the server whilst using windows 8.1?

Recently my side charms bar (right hand side) has started popping out whilst playing the game, even when sitting idle, when this happens it minimises my game and this happens continuously. I've tried all the fixes on the net concerning the charms bar but non seem to work.... its getting very frustrating, to the point where I cannot really raid/rung dungeons!

Anyone any suggestions?

Hey Vrath,

I use http://www.classicshell.net/ which adds a start menu and in the settings has the option to disable the side charms.

I was hoping to fix the issue without using any 3rd party software, I may have to use this tho, the issue is driving me nuts :S

If you'd like to disable them entirely than you can find instructions here.

Running the game in Maximized Windowed Mode should stop the game from minimizing if you accidentally click them if you still want them.

I added a start menu and disabled the active corners because I can't live without a start menu and hate active corners.

I am currently running the game in windowed mode which tho stops minimising is just as frustrating :S

I've also tried the suggestions uve linked but they dont work, I've everything turned off and the window still pops out, happens even when I am sitting idle...

Gonna try and fresh install of windows and Nos and if that doesn't work I'll try the 3rd party software

I just tested and the settings work when the mouse touches the corner. There must be something else causing them to open such as a trackpad or mouse gesture. Are you on a laptop? Was it working for a period of time then started occurring randomly?

My Side bar doesn't pop out when I mouse over so the fixes which I have implemented have worked to the extent they r meant too I think, but this hasent fixed the issue

No Im not using a laptop, I'm running a custom built gaming pc

Did this start recently or has it been happening since you started playing?

Does it occur even when you're not using the keyboard/mouse?

How often does it happen?

I feel that it has started happening since the last time the server was updated, it usually starts after about an hour of playing and continues to happen frequently after that, it is usually starts after I start to exp some small lag spikes (I've adjusted my connection not to save power)

It can occur when not using mouse or keyboard,

When it starts happened it happens every 30-40 seconds and it seems to happen move frequently when in a group

What you are describing sounds quite unusual. It may be worth trying a fresh installation of Nos and to a new location such as C:\WoW so settings, cache and addons don't get carried over and test it for a bit without changing anything. If that doesn't help than a reformat may be the next option.
