Random Lag?

by Lipstickx » Thu Apr 16, 2015 7:55 pm

Every so often about a minute or so I'm getting a random lag spike for 1-4 seconds and then everything catches up. Anyone else experiencing this? Really ruining my experience. Any thoughts on how to fix it on my end? Or if it is server lag any time frame on when it will be getting fixed? For me it's just not worth playing the game if it's not smooth. Also I live in New Jersey and I've had a constant 130 ish MS since playing, but this has only started to occur the past day or so.

Same happens to me since two days ago. I started a mage and it's impossible to play cause you don't know when to cast. :)
I live in Germany.

Same to me, posted about it here: https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=6983

P.S. I watched the stream of Winter Chill's raid in MC today on Twitch and they all blame this kind of lag spikes. They are mostly from Russia.

I made a post about this too: https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=6392

I noticed that the lag spikes seem to be connected to certain sound effects playing. You might want to pay attention if you experience something similar. Good to know I'm not alone with this! ^^

Sill lagging from time to time. There're many lag spikes at ~18:20 ST (5500 online). Asked in /1 and ppl has comfirmed that they have the same problme.

Same, almost every day my ms rises to 200-500ms for a while or longer but usually no more than 1 hour. One time, server restart fixed this.

Re-downloading clean files solved the issue for me. Some of my sound files had become corrupt during the original compiling thus causing a lagspike everytime one of those files were played.
Check if your Disk usage spikes during the lagspikes, that's what led me to this solution, hope it helps!
Cheers.
