Random Disconnects

Hello, as the title states. Last night when I was playing about every 20 - 30 minutes I'd get a disconnect and then get stuck on "Success" for a few minutes before being able to re-log. I was talking with a friend the entire time and she never got disconnected once. I'll check again tonight to see if the disconnects continue and will report back. But from what I can tell most people are not getting disconnected.

I have the same problem.
Sometimes I can play for an hour or more without a single disconnect. Other times I get 2 or maybe 3 per hour.
I went as far as downloading 2 different clients from the net but the problem continues.

One thing I've noticed is when I log in right after a disconnect I can't talk in general or trade channels. I need to logout and log back in to use the channels again.

My question is: Is this normal and happens to everyone or only a few of us experience this?
Is there anything I can do to try and fix this?

I don't know. But the problem still occurs to me. You're right, sometimes I can go an hour or so without one then bam another random DC.

I have been having random disconnections also. Times are random. Sometimes a hour, 5 minuets to 1 minute or even instant. Have decent internet connection and above average computer.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to playing on this private server and would like to have this issue resolved.

Do you have any 3rd party software running with WoW? Have you tried disabling all addons and see if that helps?
