You must use the in-game command:

.acc password oldpw newpw newpw

Please ensure that you're not speaking on any of the chat channels.

Type it in the regular chat window as if it were a whisper or /say.

But like Pottu said, it's best not to type it in any of the chat channels because if you accidentally misspell or enter it incorrectly, you'll /say it to nearby players, or worse, broadcast it to /1 General or /2 Trade.

Best solution: enter an instance where it's just you and no other players, and change your password there so if anything goes wrong, your password isn't shown to other players.

UPDATE: The new password reset feature is now live. If you're still getting errors during login, try resetting the password using the e-mail address you registered your account with. Make sure it's less than 16 characters in length.
