If you step into the Barrens chat for five minutes you will be exposed to some pretty horrible stuff. There are literally people who have stayed there for months just to say messed up stuff in chat. They are reported by people, yet nothing ever happens.
Why are the Nostalrius Admins cool with this? Dont they know how badly it affects the server, Racism and discrimination turn people away, Especially when you have to spend so much time in the barrens seeing that shit in chat. On top of that people talking about raping children, and raping girls, seriously? Im sure I'm not the only one tired of seeing this stuff being spammed in chat. Sure i can leave general, to avoid seeing it, but that's not the point, everyone who isn't into seeing this stuff posted into chat shouldn't have to leave a chat because the admins aren't doing anything to stop it from happening. I personally wouldn't want my server know as a place where people can talk about Rape and Pedophilla in the open, in front of the hundreds of people in the barrens, or just passing through.
Here is what i picked up in five minutes. Maybe it would be wise to think of doing something about the harassment.



PS This isnt even nearly as bad as the other stuff I've seen being posted and talked about openly.

The point is that everyone shouldn't have to fill their ignore lists up with sick people. What about the people that are newer, and don't know about the ignore feature. People who break the rules, should be punished. Barrens chat is full of jokers and trolls, and that's all well and fine. But there is a line where joking turns into harassment. And harassment/racism is against the rules bud.
I dont know about you. but i find jokes about raping children disgusting. Its weird that you're cool with it.

Hi Deadrot.

Those people are violating the Terms of Use. We were recently forced to ban a player for forming a guild based on a well-known terrorism group. Racism is taken just as seriously as Botters, Cheaters, Hackers and Gold Farmers. We want players to have lots of fun within the rules. PVP and Ganking is fun and encouraged! Being the victim of racial slurs is not fun. Rest assured the staff will address these Ne'er-do-wells soon enough. Please be patient.

Sorry, just because you have the ability to ignore someone doesn't make what they're doing any less deplorable. You are victim-blaming, and it's disgusting. People shouldn't have to blacklist half of a region just to quest in peace. OP is absolutely correct here. Something needs to be done. In this day and age there should be no room for that kind of hateful language.
