Possible Explanation to Some Bans?

I know some people maintain their innocence when accused for hacking or exploiting bugs, and maybe some of the bugs are responsible for the said ban.

I can personally give an example of a bug that probably could have got me banned if I maybe hadn't of made a ticket asking WTF was going (it never got answered so abandoned it). I'll try and remember exactly what happened although it was a few weeks ago, but thought I'd share what happened.

If I remember correctly I was idling in UC and got a DC, or the server crashed. Before this I was in grom'gol and got the zep. When I logged back in, I was on a flight path, but was flying in a weird way. Going underground and straight lines, rather than going around the world. Now bearing in mind I didn't have hardly and FP's linking me up from north to south and I didn't know where the hell I was going, but this erratic flight path putting me underground and flying through mountains and shit could have quite easily flagged me up!

I had no idea where I was flying to, as when I dc'd I was just idling in UC like previously said. This phantom flight took me all the way back to grom'gol and dropped me there. So yeah, thanks for me wasting 10 mins getting to UC via the zepp lol, even stranger though, when I looked at the flight path when I landed, I still didn't have the taxi points joining me from north to south, so had to jump back on the zepp to get to UC again.

TLDR;
Maybe some people don't even know they're "hacking" as it could be a simple glitch like what happened to me.

I have had this flight issue myself before. I believe when you get disconnected and in flight, it has an "endpoint" for the flight path in where it should be, and where your character should be. I was flying from IF to Burning Steppes and when I logged back in, it was moving me from almost being in Burning Steppes backwards towards IF and through the mountains. Once my character "snapped" back onto the path I was supposed to fly, it started moving towards Burning Steppes normally.

I would urge against abandoning tickets unless if you know for a fact it's been resolved. Not every GM has the ability to diagnose or fix an issue right away and sometimes they get a senior GM to take a look at the issue or act as a second opinion. These GMs are not always online at the time your ticket is addressed so they leave it open to discuss at a later time. Deleting a ticket that GMs are actively researching can hinder the resolution process.

And for this very reason, I left my last ticket with a bug that resolved itself from logging out open for a GM to look at. It was appreciated :)
