Hearthstone refuses to work

Dear WoW God,

I have since level 1 experienced the issue of not being able to talk to inn keepers and therefore I cannot change my home. This is beginning to really annoy me, and hopefully you'll be able to help me find a solution.

I have tried searching the forums for help, but there does not seem to be a thread with a similar problem.

What do you mean "not able to talk to innkeepers?" You mean if you right click them, they don't open a dialogue or goods/items window? If so, you have way more to worry about than simply hearthstone issues. Have you tried deleting your WDB, WTF folders and, if necessary, completely uninstalling and reinstalling WoW Classic?

If you're coming from retail where you left click in order to open the gossip (dialog) menus, it's right click to interact here on NPCs. Left clicking is only for targeting and selecting options on vanilla.

When I right click an inn keeper only the goods/items window will show, there is nothing to start a dialogue. I will try deleting my folders, see how that works out.

no luck unfortunately, but I guess I should try reinstalling.

Do you use the LazyPig addon? It bypasses gossip by default, so you need to disable that option to set your hearthstone at the starting town (Goldshire/Razor Hill/etc). Other innkeepers work fine.

I do have lazypig installed, disabling that addon however, did not work.

As a rule of thumb, try disabling all addons first to see if they are the problem (Saves time instead of doing one by one). If you find it does indeed fix it, go back and re-enable each addon one at a time and log in to see which one is interfering with your NPC dialogue.
