Might be worth checking. The steering issue happens rarely with excessive lag/packet loss but it usually fixes itself after a short while and shouldn't even require relogging. This seems like your account settings got corrupted somehow.

This happens in Windows 7 as well. It's because the new security model in windows 7 prevents programs from writing to any path that is not in your user folder. If you run wow as an administrator it is able to write to the wow install folder and a whole host of issues goes away.

I also just created a new character, and here it works fine aswell.

Apparently the bug only affects my main char. For some really weird reason.

Any idea what can solve it?

Thanks

Tried to run wow as administrator. No changes. Still works fine on my other chars but on Khers, my main it only is a black window when I open friends list and I have to click in the box in order to view stuff

OK, I have made several tests now.

Will you please "restore" my char and simply copy it into a new account?

-When I log in it blinks weirdly and takes longer time then normally.
-On my main char I always have to click in friends list in order to view stuff.

I also tried this at my friends house, same thing there.

My acc is clearly fucked up some how and changing computer wont even help.

Please help.!!

Greetings again Imzgaming87,

I'll kick this upstairs and see if there is something they can do. No promises though. What are your account names and what is the name of the main character?

I'm running into the same issue. I have two characters I play a lot and only one has a blanked out Friends List. It still works on some level because I can see when people go online and offline that I know aren't in guild but on that list.

I am running Windows 7. Is there any updates on this?

I'm having the same issue with the friends' list.

I remember it started around when I was lvl10-15. Everytime I log in, the friend list is empty and then clicking it reveals the list of names. Running as administrator doesn't seem to have any affect.
