Sporadic Ban Messages

Hello Guys,

I am having a lot of trouble getting logged into the game, sometimes I can connect and play normally, then the next time I get a message, "This account has been closed"

I have created 3 accounts to test my theory and indeed all 3 show me as banned currently. Could you investigate?

Could you explain why each of these accounts says they're banned when I connect? I'd really like to play and join the community. Any info on this would be appreciated!

The usual reason is that you or someone else is consistently mistyping the password. This locks the account for 15 minutes or so, to prevent brute force hacking.

I've copy/pasted my password correctly every time. I don't believe I've EVER mistyped the password.

If you have a too long password, it will not work correctly (please create another account in that case).
And as Pottu said, your IP may be temporarly banned for trying several times a bad password.

My original account was 20 character password, my next attempt I tried 10 character. Still no luck!

Also. I have made 3 accounts, I believe this is the max? None of them work?

WoW allows a maximum 16 character password for this version, so that was probably the issue. Give it 15-30 minutes and try the new passwords again you're probably locked from trying to many times.

The Password field in the game login screen is a maximum of 16 characters in length. So if one or more of your accounts have a 20-character password, it won't see your login credentials as valid because the password field cuts off everything after the 16th character.
