Well, you are playing on the PvP server and apparently streaming.

Stream sniping is not against the Terms of Use of Nostalrius. If you don't want to get Stream sniped, or killed/followed due to your stream, you simply have to turn it off.

Also, since he is alliance and you are horde he is actually PvPing, even if you are 34.

As long as he does not gank you on an extreme level, like 8+ hours each day for multiple days, then you can't really report him.

We will have a word with the player asking them to cut it out (and I believe another GM has already spoken to you about the streaming aspect and what goes along with it).

What the player is doing that is worth addressing is using cross-faction chat to deliver slightly offensive messages. The message by itself is only very mildly offensive, so normally we would not get involved. However, since they are doing this publicly and deliberately on a live stream, this paints Nostalrius Begins in a bad light, and we don't need that.

Its a little odd to admit that your enforcing the rules differently because it just so happened to be done over a stream.

Seems to me rules should be enforced in a consistent manner, not just when it makes the gm team look bad.

He got stream sniped and are on a pvp server isn't he? Then he should just put the stream off if he dont want to get ganked.

The rules are pretty clear actually.

You are allowed to be an asshole and stream-snipe players for hours and hours but you are not allowed to abuse the player in chat while doing so. The problem here is not the gameplay but the chat interaction. The rules specifically say that Nostalrius staff decide what-when-where is considered inappropriate.

C. Gameplay

Nostalrius Begins recognizes all valid play styles to be part of the game, and not harassment, so player-killing the enemies of your race and/or faction, including camping the spirit healer, corpses and/or gravestones, is considered a part of the game. While playing on a Player vs. Player server, you should always remember to protect yourself in zones where the members of a hostile faction can attack you. The act of "stream sniping" is not a violation of this agreement as we cannot intervene if someone in-game makes the decision to communicate their every move, thereby informing other users of their position and/or in-game status.

B. Interacting with players

Communicating in-game with other users and Nostalrius staff members, whether by text or any other method, is a fundamental element of the Game. The following rules are not intended to be exhaustive, and Nostalrius reserves the right to determine if a certain behaviour is considered a violation. When communicating with other users, you may not:

Communicate any unlawful, obscene, racist or any such language and/or imagery deemed inappropriate by Nostalrius staff.

First off, I dont personally approve of this kind of "pvp", but that doesnt change the rules.

The PvP aspect of this is obviously fine, as others (Wrathran especially) have pointed out. If said warlock wants to be an ass and stalk lowlevel streamers, its within the rules. (see section C. Gameplay)

The harassment is technically a very minor offence. If he get a warning for that though, there is basically a need to warn a huge amount of players who do world pvp, I see such messages everyday.

So, the rules get bent just because he's doing it while being streamed? If you're going to do that, then update the rules section more of what can and cannot be allowed. Because. what you're doing it not right. Yes, he's being stalked, but that's his fault for streaming while leveling up. It's a PvP server, if he has a problem, then reroll on the PvE server. I've been ganked and stalked for hours for 60's before.

Yeah, he used a crossfaction way to communicate and insult the guy. But, as you said. It's mild and normally wouldn't get involved. But, you'd get involved just because he's doing it while being streamed? That doesn't make sense.

Now you also wrote "Cut it out" That doesn't just mean the cross faction harassment. You're also going after that he's messing with him. I spoke to another GM before and I have screenshots. The GM said you can camp a player for at least close to a full days time before a GM would get involved in seeing what's up with the situation, because eventually one of them is going to log off after so many endless hours. I watched the stream live yesterday, I was there watching it happen. The guy just needed to turn off his stream and take a break instead of feeding the trolls. This is a PvP server, people need to grow a pair. Or, REROLL PvE.
