I was not the one to temporary ban for this, but griefing like this may be grounds for a GM to step in. Players who actively make it their mission to ruin another player's experience en masse will most likely be dealt with. There are much better ways to spend your time on this server than ruin another player's experience.

First of all, players must accept a summon, they must voluntarily click it and accept therefore they accept any responsibility for what may happen.

Second, if "Players who actively make it their mission to ruin another player's experience en masse will most likely be dealt with" please deal with all the safespotters. Oh yeah, that's an allowed form of griefing.

This server has the funniest set of rules I've ever seen. You're allowed to safespot all day long, but summon someone off a cliff and it's a ban. Last I checked safespotting was allowed as long as you didn't hack to get to where you are, so as long as you don't hack to get yourself onto the cliff ledge this isn't a violation.

It's a shame these players (there were 3 or 4 of them summoning) aren't banned permanently because they are a pure example of the worst kind that can be found on nostalrius. But nevertheless thank you for dealing with this. This will teach them not to act like internet heroes!

You are an asshole screwing with other people for sole purpose of wasting their time, you get "dealt with", and then you come to forums to complain...
The level of retarded on these forums is thru the roof...

This all sounds so nostalgic, truly reminiscent of my days spent on Feenix WoW. ;)

I'm going to go do this myself. I'm going to summon everybody off cliffs. This is more carebear than retail. Come ban me Nostalrius, ban away old chap.

Gm's dealing with jerks. Good to hear.

Oh. And "but they do this or that and have not been punished!" is a response for a 10 year old.

I was online when this happened, and if memory serves me right the GM simply asked you to stop. Your group did not comply so you got a short account suspension to reinforce the warning, as per the ToU.

Nobody gives a single damn if you followed standard procedure in situations where you warn and then suspend. I won't show a sliver of appreciation if you do us a big grand service by dealing with hundreds of tickets if you're only going to end up tampering with the gameplay in non-blizzlike ways. I spit on you and your team.

You teleport players to dungeons like Zetox, you kill bosses for players, you ban people for spamming chat channels (not mute), and you ban them for summoning people for amusement? Those are just a few things, but there are plenty of reasons why you're not fit for policing this server. If the (most probably like-minded) admins won't eliminate the scum that is called the GM Team, then I think some sort of insurrection is due.

The fact is, you banned a player while he was playing the game doing something that should never hold any sort of consequence.

If I was summoned by this guy, I would know not to accept it, and I wouldn't accept a random summon regardless of his location.

Why dont you leave us alone in peace to enjoy the game like we should be able to. You should also remember that your actions may also have consequences Oh Great Gamemaster.
