Just now I got 140 infected game-related files(malware) removed. Still nothing works, for example Spotify seized to work among other programs. Installing the game to another drive won't help. I have no idea what might be the cause of this error. Everything should be fine. The viruses must have broken something.
Sounds like the add-on files might've contained malware that affected not only your WoW files, but other files as well. Depending upon the severity, a full wipe might be the quickest solution. Hope everything works out for you.
