The OpenGL renderer is significantly slower than Direct3D. I gave it a go, and it doesn't do much besides destroy my framerate. Was worth a try though.
Here's another weird thing that happens with my game client (may or may not be related). Often times, the framerate caps out at 100, but on other occasions it goes far beyond that. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it - sometimes it imposes a 100fps cap, sometimes it doesn't. When the framerate is uncapped, the buggy animations aren't quite as bad, but the stuttery motion is still there.
