I spent so much time on this server because i assumed that since it was advertised as a vanilla server under a vanilla PvP ruleset that i would not get banned for doing things allowed under that ruleset.
Safespotting was banned because there was proof that blizzard did in fact suspend people for that.
I have yet to see proof of blizzard banning for this PRE-BC

Knowing what type of scumbag players are often attracted to a private server, it wouldn't surprise me if at one point an entire guild would just dedicate their time and effort to shit like this. Killing off important NPC's that offer quests to level up in the 12-20 level range. Would that be OK? "Whelp, I'm level 12 now, time to grind my way to 20 so I can start questing again." Yeah no.
