It's not the best suggestion, but you could try using a VPN to connect to the game. A lot of users here have had success with Cyber Ghost. It's free and connects to Nostalrius when all other suggestions fail. I've never used it before but it's worth a shot if you still want to try.

Gave this a go, got the same result- one login attempt gave me "Unable to connect" and the second attempt told me my account was locked. I haven't tried to log in since yesterday, so if it was a short term ban for too many attempted logins it should have expired some time ago.

I've tried literally everything suggested in the thread about connection errors, reinstalled multiple times, tried the copy/paste trick with the password, tried CyberGhost to change my location, all to no avail. The most frustrating thing is that according to my user page I have managed to log into the game, which is bullshit since I've never even broken through the login issue to see the server selection screen.

I'm gonna chalk this up to a lost cause, fed up with the lack of support or assistance with resolving my issue.

Since there are no characters on the account, did you just try making a new account?
