Industrial amounts?
Sure, it's completely fine to farm, BUT NOT TOO MUCH OR YOU GET BANNED!!

What is an industrial amount, though? What if I want to buy the BoE raptor for 3,5k. Is that an industrial amount? Please don't use such ridiculous phrases as if this was in the ToU with this exact wording, it would mean that the players are okay to do it but if a gm thinks he's doing it too much he can just ban him, no matter what the amount of gold the guy makes.

I was at work for pretty much all day today and the days before. Can someone clue me in on this whole mining situation? If we're talking about over 500 resets, I can do the math here with my 28k kills.

6 whip lasher packs * 7 whip lashers per pack = 42 kills per reset
28,000/42 = 666.66667 instance resets (667, round up).

Epic mount, epic BoEs for 2 chars, and farming for multiple people/guilds has come into play without a GM saying something to me. I'm still within the means of 5 instance resets per hour and the loot table isn't malformed by any means since my screenshot shows:
(7006 (number of lashers looted)/18749 (kills))*100 = 37.367% of the mobs I've killed were indeed looted.

...Which means under half my kills per instance are likely to not yield loot.

If they determine that anything about the packs works differently from how they envision it should work and in your favor, you will get banned. It is your responsibility to know what the devs consider correct.

So what you're saying is, is that it is our responsibility to be mind readers? Nice one!

Which would also mean that something would've been changed along with the Tribute end boss changes since that was such a big problem. Nothing wrong with the loot or the mechanics here besides simple 5 resets per hour along with making well under the assumed amount we make brought on by the huntards raging about the fix to Cho and King.

So yeah, still plausible.

Also, my information on the screenshot is pretty accurate with vanillagaming's DB on Whip Lasher's loot table too even though a snapshot of allakhazam can say differently.

Looking at ban patterns it's pretty obvious, if it's blizzlike you won't get banned, and this seems completely blizzlike. However, that doesn't mean it won't be nerfed to the ground. I think the reason why no one got banned for Tributes is because me and a few others encouraged people to ask gm's if this is bannable and make sure to save screenshots in case you do get banned. What I received from them was "we are not banning for dm tribute at this time". I think you should do the same and you'll be golden.

'At this time.'

I don't think a GM convo will save you if they decide to ban. But it's a free server so no one can complain.

I'm not a fan of this way of thinking. People's time is not free and they have a right to be annoyed if they have dedicated hundreds of hours to be part of this community only to be banned for some superficial reason because the staff make a snap decision.

What do you mean by industrial amounts ?

I don't understand why farming a lot - let's say for several hours in a row on a regular basis - should be banned or in the ToU grey zone even. There is a reset cap for a reason and it limits the gold you can make per hour with this (blizzlike) method.

Even if you're using several characters to benefit from more resets per hour, like your mage and your priest, it is perfectly legit as long as it is with your account(s) and you aren't multiboxing.

QQers can just lvl their own mage/priest/hunter/whatever and do the same completely legit thing.

Indeed.

We obviously have a right to complain. Having paid someone Money is not the only basis for a comlaint, if that was true then just as an example, kids wouldn't be able to complain about their parents since they don't pay them saleries?

It doesn't follow.
