If your target were facing you, it's normal to be detected very easily.

Lol? Stealth breaking on aggro and it's not broken?

Stealth is quite broken atm.

So yeah, stealth is broken imo. Although I haven't noticed it to be broken in the way OP reports.

I'm not playing a stealth class myself, so sucks to hear that.. I hope the devs fix it asap.
Oh, and, might be useful info for devs or some people: Those sound just like the bugs that VengeanceWoW had with Stealth mechanics and I played a Rogue there and they were hella' broken there.

From http://www.wowwiki.com/Stealth?oldid=362932 :

In PvE, monsters will normally react when you are close to being detected. Typically, they will look up and either say something or make a noise.

I think that is the main issue with Stealth, on Nostalrius : monsters are detecting you instantly. They should not, if your are positioned at a reasonable distance.

Biggest issue I've seen so far. This lack of mobs reaction when close to being detected needs to be fixed.

I'm level 25 by the way.

if a pet targets you before you stealth, you're boned. that's blizzlike, and I'll find the video for it if people really can't grasp that's how it worked

I agree with everyone saying the mobs SHOULD make a move + noise when they are about to detect you, and if you stand still or step back you should remain undetected.

Otherwise, it seems fine to me.

YES, it sucks during early level, you get detected from a LONG range.

That's how it was, you got to spend point in MoD and don't approach mobs from infront of them. It gets better with levelling.
