This is a wildshot but try disabling Multithreading if you have it active.

I have this problem also, even when not using any addons.
I can trigger it on purpose the first time after signing in when I cast Power Word Shield, or Pounce. I'm sure other abilities trigger these hiccups also. I don't know what to do about them.
I do not use windows.

what will disabling multithreading do t my pc, i read that disabling it is done through bios.
So, what will i actually do if i disable it?

BTW, i also read that that might help with fps issue, i dont have fps issue, i keep watching my fps, its always around 60, it never changes.

Could the problem be in the client?

Any reports in your Event Viewer around the times the freeze happens?

I just went to device manager in control panel, i checked out my sound drivers. When i open sound, video and game contoller it shows me 2 audio drivers:

High definition audio device- driver date: 19.11.2010, version- 6.1.7601.17514, i cannot update it since it says that driver is up to date
Realtake high definition audio- driver date: 18.06.2015., version- 6.0.1.7541

Is this normal or could this be the problem?

I have been experiencing this exact same issue but only on my main PC.
when playing it on my laptop or my other pc the issue does not occur.

I'm running it on windows 10 system a core I5 4670K with 8GB ram and a Radeon R9 280.
every driver is completely up to date.

I have tried the setting where u start the game with a certain cpu affinity so you only utilise 1 core but that also did not solve it.

Only 2 things left to try is to swap out the videocard for another one or try with different windows install.

If anyone has any other ideas / suggestions / experciences i would welcome them

Greetings,

always try first with all addons disabled. If that takes away the issue, toggle each addon on, one-by-one until you find the one that causes a problem. If disabling addons doesn't help, try turning off Aero and similar desktop features (depending on your Windows version) as they can interfere with games. Reinstall DirectX9 as there is a possibility that a Win8 or Win10 installation did not come with with or that it has been corrupted. Run Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to check for any malicious software on your PC, they are both free. Clean your PC from dust and make sure that all fans are spinning when the machine is on. Update your video and audio drivers - if you have integrated audio card, search the website of your motherboard supplier. It's worth checking in any case as they might have a BIOS update as well, though that's somewhat extreme to have to do.

Thanks for the reply.
all the suggested solutions I had already tried to no avail.
Yesterday I got around to trying 2 more drastic measures:
1) install different graphics card => no success (switched to an old Geforce GTX280)
2) install windows 8.1 and try there => success

So after installing Win 8.1 & drivers the game ran smooth as it should with all my addons enabled. Though on my laptop it runs fine with win10 so that's not the sole source of the issue. Might be some driver that is not yet optimised for win10. I have noticed that quite a few freezes are preceded by certain events like a skill ups , mouse over, sound effects but that's not the case all the time.

Going to try with clean install of win10 next to see what it does. will post back with new info.
