Personally I dont care if it's blizzlike or not.

I just want to know if this is a bannable offense so I can avoid a ban in the future.

That's the problem on this server. Too many players are not caring about the right things. If you just care about what is bannable or not without actually using your own brain to find out if it's legit/blizzlike, you're not contributing at all to the blizzlike project this server is.

If you've ever played retail vanilla you remember everyone was running around with ten thousand of these plants (see the videos) because they are not 'quests' and the fact ppl picked them up at the same time with countdowns or not was widely known and not a bug.
Even if you consider it as such, then it's a blizzlike bug which should remain on the server and tolerated just like the lack of LoS in WSG, for instance.

As linked above, this is completely legit & blizzlike from when these plants ever existed till Naxx.

afaik for something to be a major bug abuse you must be aware that something is not working right and you are abusing it. how are you supposed to know something is forbidden if you were able to do it on retail?

It's Nostalrius, safest thing to do is raid log and not play! I guess they are setting the example with them or something, whatever, another superb Nostalrius staff decision.

In other words: Doable and not something you got banned for back in the days. It got fixed later (2.0 or after) to make it only grant one player the items/buff.

In other words: People even made an addon to get the stuff together. You think someone would be dumb enough to make an addon for the public back then to exploit? Use common sense.

All you have to do, is to right-click on the plant, pick, and then right-click the plant immediately again. This will cause you're farming time to be reduced drasticaly(maybe not ½, because you might fail sometimes, but still pretty close to 50%, if you do it right)

Intended mechanic or not, calling it "Major bug abuse" is a clear view of lack of information and then going for the gut feeling on what is right or wrong is clearly shown here.
Certainly not something that is categorized as worthy of a permanent ban.

you remember the temp bans regarding av queing ? that was blizzlike too but counted as exploit and got banned this argument got no value

And now you have completely allowed countdown quest where atleast 20-30 people still get in the same game and stomp it. Much difference made.

I think that the Nostalrius GM staff should be a little more transparent if they decide that a standard practice from retail is going to be considered a bug on here, and make an announcement instead of people finding out by getting the ban hammer.

it got asked before basicly you have to make tickets about evrything and ask if it is allowed or not
