Good stuff. Question though-is this a petition to ask for "the dignity of a proper response" or to ask for a change in policy insofar as possible ban of account after a breach, or for item restoration, or a change in the security measures themselves? I couldn't be certain what we're asking for here. thanks.

As mentioned in the petition, the hackings are not only affecting the individuals that are hacked, it is also affecting the people around them. Guilds losing their core players has a negative impact on the nostalrius community, and I believe there are things that can be done to prevent this. Perhaps not prevent the hackings themselves, but for example restoring gear that will not have any effect on the economy of the server.

Instead of following up with a mindless '/signed', apply for a GM position in order to create a team that will deal with this, or donate for paid staff to take care of this.

Going through a checking items of every person who has been 'hacked' is a huge time investment, it's not some quick push of a button like some of you seem to think it is.

I'm new to the server, but I don't think you are handing this the right way. The Nostalrius staff is donating their time and resources creating and supporting the server. To ask them to spend even more of their unpaid time investigating every account compromise is asking a lot of the people who have done so much for you all for nothing in return. I agree with the comment by notgunnahappen, where you all should be proactively trying to help find a solution (like creating a proposal for yourselves to volunteer to help or some other way) rather than rely on the existing staff, who have real world obligations outside of staffing Nostalrius.
