Ban Appeal (probably in vain) and PSA on buying gold

Never bought gold, but the first time I heard about it being a violation was on these forums. There is nothing but spam in major cities advertising it, and I get whispers constantly about buying it. I think Nost even sells it themselves? There should be more PSAs about this issue, because I bet many fall into this trap

I appreciate everyones input so far. Im going to keep this bumped until hopefully a GM responds to it. Just curious to hear their opinion, even if it is just "your account is banned and will not be unbanned" lol XD

They dont respond to tickets, etc, and rarely go on banning sprees, but when they do they ban like 800 players at a time unexpectedly.

You must know how GMs life is, I'm sure its just GM Isle & chill the whole day.
I mean, I would do that as well when I volunteer for the GM Team.

Imo examples need to be made of people caught for this. The people buying all of this shit is the reason we get spammed by xpwaadfsjkdogames.com or w/e all day. I have no love for the Chineese that do sell stuff, but less love for those that willingly fund these acc hacking - gold spam selling douchers.

Thank you for your honesty. We do not unban accounts that are confirmed closed for buying gold, however. Please feel free to create a new account on Nostalrius Begins and follow our rules.

Incidentally, it is not a minor offence to buy gold, or just a technicality. The way that gold sellers acquire their gold is by hacking accounts and stealing it, or by scamming players out of their hard earned gold. Two weeks ago thousands of accounts were banned because of a gold seller hack wave. Players willing to buy gold are actually directly responsible for the effect it has - of other players losing their accounts, or if they are lucky, only all of their gear and gold.

Hahahah. Gold buyers should go play retail WoW, plenty of easy money and easy rewards for 0 effort
