Multiple player ban for being at a LAN party?

Account or connection issues

Logging five accounts and claiming its five different people while hacking on one and after being caught claim it was someone I did not know using hacks playing on one of the accounts that share IP.

Decision here might establish a way for hackers to get away with hacks after being caught so I do not believe your case will be considered for appeal.

Good luck and regards,

It's VERY easy to establish wether or not it was actually 5 players playing at once or not, don't you think? Simply watch logs for loot, movement, chat etc etc and see wether or not there were 4 accounts just AFKing in one spot and one hacking or if all 5 was actually doing stuff at once.

If the case with the logs is possible we would really love for someone to have a look into that.

We have nothing to hide and would like to get in contact with a mod.

Regardless of whether it was 5 players playing 5 characters or 1 person playing 5 characters, one of the accounts associated with that IP hacked, therefore all accounts associated with that IP are banned. That's what retail did as well. Sorry to the other 4 players who played legit but it only takes 1 to ruin it for the rest.

We all had different level characters ranging from i think 10ish to 29 logged on at different times / not at all at the time of the ban. :/

So I left this lan party a couple of days due to work, and I lost all my friends... Which totally ruined my experience aswell.. Holy priest without my prot warr

I'm not quite sure about this.. What if I rented two of my rooms in my appartment to strangers? I think Blizzard investigated more than just banning all accounts accociated with an IP..

But what we are asking, is any official to either reply, look into it or say anything about the case.. A short investigation in these accounts will show nothing but normal behavior in all other accounts..

Blizzard would ban all accounts associated with the IP address. In their eyes it's like you were part of the crime. So example, you rent your basement out to a stranger and you share WiFi, stranger hacks and gets caught you would both be banned. Don't share internet or LAN party with people who hack.

It's unfortunate they all got the hammer for one idiot, but that's all it takes. Next time don't invite him to the party.

Must suck to play WoW from internet cafes/military/schools etc. then. Seeing how everyone associated with their IP could get banned due to one person.
