Low level chests out in the world and chests from BRD or BRS are not equal in severity.

This "exploit" existed on retail servers and was not punished by a ban. To so selectively ban specific members of associated guilds with out warning is absolutely ridiculous. I imagine that vast majority of them where completely unaware that what they where doing was such a severe infringement upon the ever so vague terms of service associated with this server. I am also aware of numerous other rogues who have been using this to farm gold for their epic mount (as we all did in retail) who are still running around on this server with out even a warning.

This is absolutely absurd, even without taking into consideration the differential treatment given to various players depending upon how "noteworthy" their chests/lockboxes/coffers are.

This guy is awesome and I believe that this was false ban, anyway some people need to go down so other don't do it but at least don't make it perma ban. He contributed to this server way more than your average player.

In all seriousness, on every instance of retail, on every other private server to date, this "exploit" of looting something through a wall has been handled way differently than this situation was, and is.

Let me start by saying there is a lot of "grey area" in what this staff will/won't ban for. (ie. certain guilds resetting their raid id and farming multiple instances of molten core/onyxia) without getting banned even after being warned, etc... then next week 50+ accounts are closed for farming relic coffers (some players banned for farming less than 40 gold over a period of 1 hour while not breaking the instance cap).

Why not throw out a warning to players doing the exploit? Why not simply remove the coffers like other servers? Why not move the boss meant to guard the coffers further back into the room so it actually works as intended? Was banning 10 players from a single guild and multiple other rogues from other guilds the most advantageous solution, unlikely for all parties involved, especially when its not bannable anywhere else, why without specific warning is this any different?

All I'm saying is that it seems rather harsh for a bunch of first time offenders who never even knew that they were exploiting.

I can confirm that there are still rogues left running about with: Both devilsaur items, both 8 agility enchants, double crusader enchants, epic mount etc
