What I meant was to right click WoW.exe, select Properties and then take a screenshot solely of the Compatibility Tab, like this:

Thanks. It looks like the compatibility troubleshooter didn't actually make any changes so it appears that the SET gxWindow "1" setting stuck. This should be useful for others that come across this problem. Thank you for the followup.

Edit: I just noticed that in the first screenshot you sent, it applied the 'Windows compatibility mode: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)' setting. It probably wasn't a factor but something to keep in mind just in case.

You're welcome. I've noticed that, since getting it corrected the first time, I now always need to run as admin, or it does the same thing.
