You need a certain standing to reach a certain rank because the decay is 20% (above R7) of your total RP, which means it gets bigger and bigger the more you progress into higher ranks, i.e. you need each week some RP to "beat" the decay, and then some RP to actually progress.

The minimum standing needed to reach a rank is just the standing you need in order to have a RP gain superior to your decay, and thus to have a overall rank progression at honor update. It doesn't mean you will get stuck at 99,99% if you don't have the required rank. This usually happen for rank limitation due to level or something.

Basically, if you don't have the minimum standing, you will lose RP because of decay, that's it.

omfg its not a lack of honor, neither lack of standing but still no rank
the reasons u made are one o lack of standing/honor but screens i posted last message shows that its not

it was in my 3d post. i had ~250 standing and got 5-10% of rank 8 last week, now i have about 90% of rank 8

OK lets say that you were rank 7 and 10% into that rank, that means you had 25500 rank points.
Take that minus 20% (decay) and you have 20400 rank points after decay.

You need 30000 rank points to reach rank 8 so you would need to get 9600 rank points to reach rank 8 this week. If you are now 7 and 90% in that means you now have 29500 rank points right now so you got 9100 rank points this week.

The only way to know if the ranking calculation is wrong is to find the standing above you and below you and do the same calculation.

You can also use this macro to see how far into the rank you are, how many rank points you currently have and how many you will need to reach the next rank:

once again for example swagatron who had earned less then 0.5 of my honor got rank and more progression, he had 65% of rank 8, and now have about 20% of rank 9

ok lets check swagatron then:

65% of rank 8 is 28250 rank points - decay is 22600 rank points.
20% of rank 9 is 31000 rank points

31000-22600 = 8400

So he got 8.4k rank points thats 700 less than you.

Honor has nothing to do with anything, you could have tripple his honor as long as you still get standing 102 and he 219 the difference will be the same.

I see nothing wrong here.
