Account banned?

Ok IP reset fixed it. Was able to log into both accounts.

Or not. Logged in fine to both accounts, closed program to reset UI and now I'm getting the "unable to connect" message again.

Take a look at viewtopic.php?f=45&t=6552 sounds like the same issue and their fix may help you.

I tried it. Deleted basically everything and was able to login, then I logged out and tried logging back in and I was unable to connect again.

If it works once after deleting stuff then narrow it down and see if you can find the root cause. Do you have a 'SET accountName' entry in your Config.WTF file? If so, try deleting it. Did you try writing your account name in manually when logging in?

Tried all that. Even deleted the WTF folder, tried using a guild mates copy of his folder, etc. I did a fresh install of the game and got in once then same shit happened and I can't log in.

Your working WTF folder may be in

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft Classic

If you delete it does it let you in once?

I'm on Windows 8, don't see the appdata folder.

Posting a bump here. Still having issue. Last night I was able to get in by copy and pasting my password from a different file, today I tried and now I can't get in.

This is beyond bizarre and way out of my scope for problem solving.

If you paste the path above into 'Run' than it should take you directly to the working WTF folder. Access 'Run' by pressing (Winkey) + R at the same time. Otherwise you may paste it into the address bar of Windows Explorer then hit Enter.



If you reinstall to a location such as C:\World of Warcraft Classic\ than your Working WTF folder will be in C:\World of Warcraft Classic\WTF\ This will make it easier for you to work with.
