i just let it sit at the receiving charter screen until my character showed up. Then I let it sit at the loading screen until i got in. Took me like 15-20 mins of waiting so just wait it out till something happens

I had this issue as well right now but managed to retrieve my characters after switching to the PvE server and back and then just waiting a couple of minutes. Getting on my character then took a few minutes as well but I eventually got on.
