In other words: Doable and not something you got banned for back in the days. It got fixed later (2.0 or after) to make it only grant one player the items/buff.

Worth the try to see if Daemon & Co. are willing to accept acknowledging mistakes to the public.

Didn't work with BRD coffers (despite a 15 pages+ thread with info from years back).
Didn't work with AV groupjoin (again despite multiple sources of info), despite the bans were considered minor and only lasted a week so no need to spend much time to argue aside to protect future players if they didnt fix it from their side.

But maybe one day they will get it.

This was part of entire retail while DMT was even changed at a point before TBC.
This has nearly 0 impact compared to the gold and potions gathered in DMT.

I'm curious who on the ISVV team confirmed this to be a bug. They're pretty anal and meticulous (I mean this as a compliment) when it comes to making sure a bug is a bug. Some of them dig for hours to make sure its a bug, but this...

As Nano has said, they're in the business of making it right.

It's understandable if it was just a gaff and miss on their end. We're all human after all, but this banning and this "bug" is far from one. Unless of course I'm completely in the wrong to think the ISVV confirmed this and GM's ended up doing the investigation. Someone confirmed it, right? That's what the PM's suggest...

How about confirming the blunder now? I'm assuming Daemon/Viper/Dev team have fixed this "exlpoit" on the live realm now by disallowing multiple people to receive the buff/items at the same time? Or are you still all able to get Whipper roots, Night Dragons, and the Serenade all at once? And if you are, why isn't this fixed and why hasn't it been publicly addressed?

It's funny how people just take what 3 banned people say as evidence.

Hold your horses until we get confirmation from GMs that this is a bannable offense.

Well, I'm assuming it's the reason since it's NOPE members coming to their aid, but it's not just that. Nost may not want to reveal the actual exploit, because they simply haven't fixed it yet. If someone that doesn't care about their accounts safety could confirm this it would make this even more credible.

By not publicly addressing it whether its a bug or not is just creating topics like this. Its also a lack of transparency when transparency is probably actually required. It creates misinformation too by keeping silent.

I guess that's the point, they (at least some) have previously been banned and warned for bug abusing.
group queuing AV, resetting item CDs through relogging ... and so on
Streaming this probably isn't the best idea, just as continuing abusing bugs after being warned isn't (not going to comment on whipper root tuber)

and btw even blizzard had bugs
That doesn't mean you are allowed to abuse them on a private server simply because they are blizzlike (though I do not share the decision of banning players for this unless it had a huge effect on the economy)
