Going through a checking items of every person who has been 'hacked' is a huge time investment, it's not some quick push of a button like some of you seem to think it is.
I agree with this.
If anything, there needs to be incentive for more security such as an authenticator. It should not fall on the nost staff to review every single case of people getting hacked. But as it has been stated, this is starting to deteriorate guilds right now. My guild has gotten hit and people keep getting hit. We have 1 core person who already has announced that he is quiting unless he gets his vendored things back, which we all know wont happen.
Basically: Don't let the nost staff work more than they do, this is their spare time work. A pay solution is not possible either seeing legal claims from Blizzard. Hacked accounts are hacked, but if the developers want to keep their veteran playerbase we will need to see new security measures being taken. This could (I suppose) be achieved by having members of the community skilled in development work on the issue, if the staff would be open to such a thing. It's their server, after all.
