We really need a recovery option for people that got hacked and had their gear stolen, this also happened to me and lost alot of BiS raiding gear along with all my gold. As for a solution I'd say give us a command that saves an image of the current gear to the server so GM's would only have to press a button to reset a character. After we all get our gear refunded ofcourse, godamn I'm pissed!

Have seen other servers with a option to lock your wow account to your IP adders on their website.
Maybe that can be a thing here..?

How exactly did this "hack" look like? If Nostalrius itself got hacked then every single account would be compromised. Otherwise people were phished or got a keylogger installed, in which case the Nostalrius people can hardly do anything.

hmmm..
similar to the coin lock feature Rift had.
if there was a change of IP address detected when the account is logged into, they would coin lock the characters.. this prevented character deletion, any item changing/deletion, and trading.. essentially the only way to unlock the coin lock feature was to open the email that was sent to you and put in the secret code that was generated on their website under the account name logged in.


was a nice feature for sure, and can be adjusted when you're changing locations in real life.. it is a hassle but I never recalled many people getting hacked from it.
