DM east farming bannable?

Still need to know. Is this bannable?
Because apparently it might become so randomly in the future, with no warning. And I'd like to know whether I should be doing this on my lock or not.

This thread has been around for 5 days and has over 1+ views.

We are doing exactly what you have asked us to do when it comes to gold farming methods, yet we still don't have any answer.

Can a GM please confirm:

1. /script ResetInstances() and relogging can be used together to reset an instance 5 times per hour.

2. All of the Whip Lashers in DireMaul East may be killed and reset 5 times per hour.

Is it a trick that yields an important advantage?
Is it playing the game the way that it was meant to be played?

Since we have not gotten a response, does that mean that this farming method is 100% absolutely nostalrius-acceptable and will not result in any kind of account sanctions/bans?

Avoid industrial farming and you're good

There's no telling when they'll randomly decide this method of farming is abusing a major in game bug and permaban half a dozen people who they determined they were farming at an industrial level.

Still awaiting a GM response on this question.

Not only do I have a Rogue that i use to mine in Silithus (who was NOT banned), I also have a Warlock that I use to farm lasher packs in DM East occasionally. So I want to know if this will be considered any kind of exploit of a major bug at some point in the future.

I do not think there is any bug of any kind at the moment. It seems perfectly reasonable.

Gromsblood in Desolace got 12 potential spawnpoints, but there can never be more than 4 up at once in the zone. You can leave all 4 up for eternity and the rest of the spawnpoints won't fill up.
Let's say you pick just one of them, then it will appear in any of the open spawnpoints in exactly 45 minutes. This is how all nodes work afaik, with the exception of black lotus. Black lotus is the only node which both got a random spawn timer and a random spawn location.
TL;DR Spawn timers are fixed (except for black lotuses) Spawn points are not.

These mechanics might be correct.

However, I have no idea if it is blizzlike, I also have no idea if it applies to all nodes. (Actually, I know they do not apply to the Felwood exclusive Whipper Root Tubers etc but you might not consider them to be "real" nodes)

Further, not knowing this stuff clearly cannot be grounds for a permanent ban. That is just unreasonable.

If someone found a node that just repopped every minute and mined it for a few hours, that would be grounds for a ban for bug exploiting. To run around and mine a few nodes close to an hour apart just isn't.

Farming DM east is fully blizzlike, however not sure about using /script ResetInstances() and then camping out (without being in a party) and being set to the front of the instance again

That isn't enough.

The loot has to be as well, or you might get permanently banned. It is your responsibility to know if the GMs think that the loot is blizzlike.
