Do you actually think if a guild killed rag pre 1.4 that he would drop zero loot? Do you have any other instances where bosses didn't drop loot that you can draw on to assume the case would be similar? Why Would his loot table be changed...?


There seems to be some evidence that Majordomo in fact was a lootless event prior to 1.4. He might just aswell have been a pre-Ragnaros event, and that's it. The proof clings from some EJ threads, the fact that all of his items were added in 1.4 (or later, Cauterizing Band is 19000+), and generally no speak of any updated loot table on him between 1.4 and anything earlier.

I have repeated this multiple times and I feel like if anyone doesn't understand yet, they're a lost cause. If the devs or anyone who actually can do anything about this would like to discuss more, please reply/PM/whatever.

It's obvious loot is supposed to be based on 1.4 anyway based on the cache of the firelord existing in the first place. Really just need an admin reply and not idiotic replies I'm getting from other people.


The loot cache being up is very likely just because of MangOS. It's generally something that shouldn't be tinkered with (removing the chest might easily have caused a crash if Domo script is trying to spawn an item. Minor example, but still). Overall, the bosses all along seems to have their proper loot tables. I find it troubling that there is so few items on their loot table before 1.4, it really sucks that we dont have any accurate database. But since all of the items that were on there prior to 1.4 are still there after, and also are on alakhazam (as in, there are no items on alakhazam from MC that are later on removed), it seems fair that this was the case.

That's not the end of the discussion, I have been told loot in mc was based on 1.4 by a gm and I am lead to believe that based on the Cache existing in the first place. This thread is not over until an admin can reply and actually comment on the off sets of EVERY boss not existing and have them clarify their intentions.

1.4 took out t2 loot that dropped in MC and implemented it into BWL patch.

but yes, T2 should be dropping in MC as it was in retail pre 1.4
however, Nos is not replicating this which means:
small loot tables mostly consisting of Tier 1.

we bugged them about that and I think its obvious that they don't want guilds with full tier 2 before BWL releases.

I'm more interested in the drop chances of boss specific non-set items, such as Aurastone Hammer, Striker's Mark, etc.

On most servers these items have the same drop chance as any other item on the that bosses loot table (including the non-set items that drop off multiple bosses). This makes them very rare.

From looking at allakhazam (which is kind of terrible for accurate drop chances) it looks like these items should have a higher drop chance than the non-set items that drop off multiple bosses. Can't find any accurate data to nail down a drop rate or even prove that they should have a higher drop rate :(

You don't know the intentions of the admins and you do not contain the ability to conjure their thoughts. Until an admin replies about what patch they intend for mc loot to be on this thread isn't over. I simply wish for someone who knows their intentions to reply so that this can be over and we can all go get along and play the videogames.
