This is a systemic problem. In both traces the connection is breaking at vac3-3-n7.qc.ca [198.27.73.237]. The server, domain, or DNS at that hop is dead.

People from other countries are experiencing this exact problem.

Not sure if it means anything but here's the WHOIS on qc.ca

Domain name: qc.ca
Domain status: unavailable
Error code: 02001
Error message: The domain name provided is reserved for the use of a Canadian municipality. Contact CIRA for more information.

I believe it's owned by the Canadian Government...

I think this may be what we are looking for. So what does it mean hydra? how do you route around it?

I got a subscription to a proxy vpn service. Going to see if changing my location outside of North America works.

cool.

I was just thinking, for the 3 times I've seen VPN as a last ditch solution.

1. some smart person said, routing has a way of working itself out after a couple days. Person that downloaded VPN used it for awhile and after a couple days was able to use his own IP and ditched the VPN.

2. Person used VPN and it made no difference, could not connect.

3. and our friend right now who is waiting for your results would prefer not to use VPN.

I could make an exception, but i don't know how btw, and it looks like you have to pay for it so it can be safe .

someone used a service with a ten day trial and then cancelled it once the route resolved its issues. I've never tried...so i know nothing about that stuff.

I use a proxy vpn called CyberGhost. Their free version lets you connect to a few countries. The sub I have lets me connect to over 40 countries.

I can confirm that when I changed my location to France I didn't have login problems. So if you have problems logging in consider using a Proxy VPN.

It appears my login is working again using my local IP.
