Banned for botting? (Raaze)

My account Killteemo was recently banned.
After the ban, I tried to contact Krusher about why I was banned. He told me that I was banned because of botting. First of all, I'm not writing here to get a lot of non-constructive responses like "rekt" or "wrekt", I just want to ask who ever banned me why or how him/her came to the conclusion of why I was botting. Second, I never botted in the first place, I was turning off my chat since I never look at it anyway, and was farming raptors in wetlands so I can afford a mount by the time I'm level 40 by doing so. Reason I began to farm instead of doing quests is because I hate questing in tbc. You always run out of quests and the rewards suck, I'll much rather just kill monsters in one spot since you get more gold by doing so (atleast what I feel).
And if I ever get unbanned, I will just go back to questing if you guys think farming mobs repeatedly is too suspicious.
I don't know how merciless you guys are with your baised or reasonable bans, but I would at least make a slight effort in to getting all my heard-earned work back since I can't stomach to level a new character again and would rather just quit : / ...

(And I can't PM Raaze on forum, that's why I'm making this post)

As a general rule the staff doesn't provide evidence of how your account was flagged for botting. This serves as a protection for the server by not disclosing detection methods to gold sellers, exploiters, cheaters and hackers who have yet to be caught. It is safe to say that they have fairly complex algorithms in place to detect most stealthy botting techniques.

You can remove yourself from a channel but you can't remove yourself from /tells. You cannot remove the chat panel unless you get an addon that lets you do this. Most players never do this. Removing the chat panel implies you know exactly how a GM will be contacting you (they typically don't do it via mail). Ignoring a GM's /tell is universally stupid. This is like ignoring a police officer's command to "put the gun down".

I farm ALL the time. I actually go out and kill the same mobs over and over and over and over and over and over again for hours. I've never had a GM randomly contact me. If they did I would respond immediately.

merciless... biased... I like your buzzwords. It likely won't help you. Confirmed botters are hated by both the community and staff.

TL;DR #rekt!

I used an addon to hide ui for chat. How would I even be able to predict that a GM will contact me randomly out of nowhere?

Going out of your way to use addons to remove the chat panel in an MMO confirms either two things.

1. You're antisocial
2. You're a professional farmer (i.e. you are paid to deliver / sell gold, you must meet a daily quota, you do not communicate with the community because this takes time, you farm the same area for 10 hours at a time, you know more than one language but prefer your non-english native language, you typically live in Russia or an Asian country)

^^

You forgot:
3: You are a bot.
4: You think this is a single player game.

Hydra, your response is not constructive

You won't get a rational response from these people, you're guilty until proven guilty in the eyes of the community and the staff. I understand why you turn the chat off, same reason WoW included a Do Not Disturb mode, sometimes you don't want to be bothered. Other times chat is being spammed with nonsense and you just don't wanna see it. There are actual real world explanations, however not responding to GM whispers is an instant reason for them to ban you. Get WoW instant messenger or something so you don't miss important whispers.

When I was banned for botting the staff eventually, after over 1 month of pressure told me I was banned because a staff member saw me "turning quickly" and "targeting mobs quickly". I play with a gamepad and use Click to Move as well as keyboard turn with my joystick as it's very comfortable. I was also playing a mid 30s priest which goes out of mana just by looking at a mob, but apparently killing one mob every few minutes while having to drink/loot between each mob in addition to dealing with guild stuff and answering whispers was too fast somehow.

I'm not saying you're innocent or guilty, I don't have that information to make an informed decision and everyone here who says you are 100% guilty without having ANY facts is a complete idiot. This is like a jury sentencing you to the death sentence without looking at the evidence.

Sure they are. one told you his experience of farming mobs. I did so myself in desolace and got no asking if I was a bot or not. You can obviously tell a bot from a player. I have seen it myself countless times. A bot bugs out and erratically strafes or gets stuck in a wall, same EXACT movements and perfect percentage threshold for mana regen. There is plenty of ways of distinguishing bots from players.

My mob farming: Centaurs in Desolace for rep farm. I did so for 3 days straight. I never had a GM whisper me or anything. Then again, I am guilded and buff others and engage in PvP with other faction farming the same mobs.

You asked why I was banned. Based on your actions I identified who you likely are and what you were probably doing. And so we can conclude based on the evidence that you're a botter and were permanently banned for this.

There is no appeal for botters.
