[Q] Beer Basted Boar Ribs - Quest not showing

I have been unable to obtain the quest "Beer Basted Boar Ribs" - http://www.wowhead.com/quest=384/beer-basted-boar-ribs - which is usually acquired from Ragnar Thunderbrew in front of the inn in Kharanos. The NPC does not indicate that he has a quest to give at all.

I finished the starting zone as usual and moved through the tunnel to Kharanos - so I am not sure if I forgot anything.

Has this issue been reported by others or am I forgetting something obvious?

I just did that quest on my dorf pally few days ago and it was working flawlessly. Are you sure you are high enough level? Have you tried talking to him? You haven't already done that quest? Have you learned cooking skill?

If cooking is the pre-requirement then that would be my mistake indeed. Other than that I have not done it, I am level 7 and all should be set. But cooking is missing, true.
