Quest items disappearing

So this is the second time its happened to me where quest items randomly vanish from my inventory. The first one was the quest in searing gorge where you get the torch to burn the towers. Went to bed b4 I did it, logged on next day and no torch.. no way to reacquire. Second time is the Aquementas quest which you may kno is very long chain which is why this frustrates me. You get a bag containing the Items that you gathered in the previous quest plus a summoning item all in a container. I log on today and the bag has 2/3 items. No way to get the item to continue.

Both instances happened on quests where I log off for the night and come back next day and poof no item. No way to get back w/o GM support. GM's say 'Items dont magically disappear, if its a bug report it.' Now this is really great help b/c that means there is zero chance of being able to complete said quests. Obviously this quest is lvl55 I dont really care that much, but it worries me if this happens again and its a 60 quest line that is valuable. Well wtf is gonna happen since all I can do is bug report it? That doesnt mean you will ever see the item you need again.

Is anybody else having similar trouble? What should we expect in the future to help the player?

You can wait near the torch for someone else to do the quest and you are able to loot a new one, as for Aquementas it is a known bug, already on the bug tracker. You can open an in-game ticket and address it to me to get assistance with that.
