Web solution for password changes?

I'll start this one with a personal problem...

So I've recently changed my password in game with a ".account password oldpass newpass newpass" command. After doing so I've been unable to connect with the new or the old password so my guess is I either typed something incorrectly, there's been a bug of some sort, or I'm just senile and too old and i forgot what i changed it to.

Reading thru forums theres been quite a few similar "password forgotten" problems and people were instructed to PM an admin with a username and as much information about the account as possible. This obviously creates quite a bit of workload on the 2 (!) admins. So my suggestion would simply be to create some sort of web solution for password changes/resets/etc...

Not being able to access my account for only a day is making me grumpy due to 0 IRL these days, and i can guess the admins get a few greys from all the PM-s they get from senile old men like me.

did you get the onscreen promt that new password was accepted?

No idea honestly it was kinda late night when i did the password change which in retrospective wasnt the brightest thing to do... However i cant log in with the old password, so i believe it was changed...

The "idea" of this topic is to suggest a web based automated solution for password management, not to qq that i cant log on

oh and i guess if a forum mod can move this to "suggestions" instead of "support" that would be nice :S
