Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Okey so I am playing with a couple of buddys a rogue and a warrior while I am a mage.

I don't know if this was a thing in vanilla or not, but after we finish some quests together I sometime get different quest rewards. The name of the items are the same, but with lower stats. Usually the different aren't too much, but this time I got really upset. We finished the defias botherhood questchain where you end up speaking to Warian wrynn.

Their quest reward.

Seal of Wrynn (blue)
+3 strght
+3 Agility
+4 Stam
+4 int
+3 Spirit

I get
Seal of Wrynn (green)
+2 Intellect
+6 Spirit

Is this supposed to happen?

They haven't cleared their wdb and wtf folder so they see the items differantly from you and yours are correct.
